If you search on instgram, you will find distasteful videos of the owner cussing out a young customer.
Their greens are fantastic, the broth so worthy of a dip of my cornbread muffin. I have not had anything there I did not like. Catfish, pork chops, and of course fried chicken.
They may have different foods offered on different days. But the above mentioned is always there. Sides...fried corn, garlic mashed pots and I have had the Mac and Cheese and it was superb. The entire crew are very friendly and most are family. The best thing I can say is when my husband and I go there, I feel like family. May the Lord keep his guiding and healing hands on all.
Staff was very friendly, ordered the chicken meal, didn't care for the style of Mac and cheese because it was not creamy, chicken was small but fantastic tasting, they charge 2 bucks extra for an extra wing, leg, or thigh, 2 dollars for a wing is a little pricey for how small they are, should be more like 50-75 cents, candied yams were very good, ordered ribs as a side because the chicken was small, the ribs were excellent as well. Tried the garlic mashed potatoes , very good, these aren't powdered potatoes, these were home made. I DO recommend giving this place a try, small portions on the chicken but taste was fantastic and home style cooking, cooked to order, not like fast food.
This was caused by said customer stating her opinions of the food . This man goes on to call her every nasty name in the book. If you value eating at a place that won't cuss you out when you don't like the food . Don't eat at this mans restaurant .
Food, service and value are outstanding. Looking forward to going back again. Very nice people and clean. Took a friend and he was equally satisfied.
I love this place. We we're greeted warmly when we walked in. The woman behind the counter walked us through the menu and helped us pick our sides. Everything was delicious. I got the fried chicken, and it was hot and juicy. The collard greens were literally the best I've ever had. We will definitely return.
